We were very impressed by the friendly and professional demeanor of the Amara staff. We will definitely recommend Amara to friends traveling to Sedona. Thank you for a lovely week
You are close to being a 5 star hotel - in my opinion

The hotel deserves an exemplary rating. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful.
Dora, who greeted me was awesome! The complimentary yoga was terrific and the bellman were helpful and friendly. Also, the complimentary transportation to the top of the hill and bottled water were a nice touch
Just returned from Spring Break in Arizona and started the trip with a fantastic stay at the Amara Resort. The value was amazing and the hotel rate included the following: an elaborate breakfast buffet, wine reception, yoga classes twice a day and even a star gazing through a telescope. The room was hip and beds very comfy. The view behind the hotel was incredible with a backdrop of large red rocks and below the rooms a beautiful creek. Very friendly staff.
My BFF and I traveled to Sedona for a relaxing get-away and we found it at Amara. We had excellent service from the staff at all levels. The hotel was modern and clean, with a great selection of the complimentary daily breakfast buffet and outstanding yoga leaders of the 3 classes per day. Very highly recommend if you are looking for a quiet, restful vacation.
The Amara is perfectly located near downtown Sedona. We found the staff to be extremely friendly! The breakfast was excellent. Highly recommend the Amara.
I enjoyed my stay. All staff were friendly, the hotel was nice and the location beautiful.
The accomodations were wonderful, we had a beautiful creekside room that we loved, and the hotel, pool, restaurant was everything we hoped it would be. Having said that, the biggest reason we would come back is the fact that this hotel/resort had such friendly staff that was so willing to accomodate special requests. We were allowed to check in early because our room was ready and we had an excursion we were going to, and then we were allowed to check out late (12:30) because we did a morning hike and we wanted to have extra time to shower before we had to check out and drive to Scottsdale. Many hotels and resorts are unwilling to extend the checkin checkout times like that and we found that very refreshing. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Amara and actually wished we had more time there.
We requested a later check out time - Katlyn was very accomodating despite the fact that you had many people checking in that day. My husband and I were very impressed with the staff at Amara's service, friendliness, and willingness to accommodate special requests.
I was looking for a relaxing getaway after a grueling couple of months of work and chose to go stay at the Amara. I have stayed there before but quite honestly, the level of service really stood out this time. My girlfriend and I were always greeted whether it was in the hallway, at reception or anywhere on the grounds. You really felt welcome.
It was a great trip and we look forward to going again.
We loved our experience at the hotel. The staff was helpful and friendly, the room was lovely, the location perfect and breakfast variety and taste was great.
My husband and I, along with our two children ages 11 and 9 took a vacation to the southwest. We have always wanted to add Sedona to one of our places to see. The town was beautiful and we will never forget the beauty of the red rocks. We had AAA to plan our trip and had never heard of The amara. Wow!! It was the most wonderful place to stay. The staff was superb, and so helpful. They treated us with such kindness. The room was very clean. The beds, floor, and everything was spotless. I should know, I am picky about hotels. The beds were spa material. Very comfortable. The pool was wonderful, even at night looking up at the dark sky and stars. A huge fire pit overlooked the pool. I wish we could have stayed longer, I am sure the spa and everything it offered would have been great. If we ever go back, there is no doubt where we will stay. I highly recommend the amara. Once again, you can't beat the wonderful staff. Great Stay!
The staff has obviously been trained to give old-fashioned customer service that we thought was dead. We were greeted by Dora, who pointed out that our adjoining rooms had been up graded to a suite. She went on to explain that no tip would be necessary, as we had been taken care of it during our check-in. Michael brought the luggage, and another bellman brought ice and a microwave. Joey gave us a lift in a golf cart to a restaurant that was outside the resort. The saltwater swimming pool was very refreshing. The free yoga class was rejuvenating. The resort itself has a beautiful natrual setting! How many do we get to give? Sensational experience!
Love this Resort!! It is our second time at the Amara, and I have to say, I am in love with this small, hidden property. The rooms are well kept and comfortable...Very modern décor and didn't miss a beat. The breakfast buffet was just wonderful, same with the pool and views of the gorgeous red rocks. There is a great trail to follow near the creek, which takes you near L'auberge. We didn't try the restaurant, but there are so many options outside the hotel, we like to voyage and discover. Very relaxing trip and it was just what we needed for a weekend getaway!
The location is really spectacular- off the main road right on Oak Creek, with beautiful grounds and walk-ways. The rooms are situated around a pool and restaurant patio that frame an awesome view of a massive rock formation. We had a very quiet, private upstairs room with a balcony that looked into towering pine trees. The on-site restaurant served gourmet dinners for about half the price of the next door “sister property”. The current summer rate is a great value for your money, plus lots of amenities are covered by the $20 resort fee, like buffet breakfast, shuttle, yoga, and guided star gazing. We really enjoyed our stay there.
Once in a while you stay at a place that truly makes you feel welcome. Amara is one such place. The staff are all consistently warm, friendly, conscientious and caring. They are there to make sure your stay is comfortable and enjoyable. The hotel is relatively new, and the layout is lovely, with the rooms all circling around the pool area. The path leads down to Oak Creek, where you can walk along a lovely woodsy path area, see the ducks, and enjoy a zen moment or two. Breakfast at the Amara is healthy and delicious, and you can enjoy it while sitting in either the outdoor or indoor dining room. Again service is swift and efficient. Location is convienient to local shopping. Prices are reasonable, but over and above all else, it's the people that make the place special.
We had a wonderful time. The staff was super. Michael at the restaurant was our favorite waiter. All the hotel staff were super. I have already shared our wonderful experience with at least a half dozen others! It was a great value for the quality of the experience.
